The green row of buttons just below our Bentley Bulldog- are designed to help you navigate this site. Many of you probably click on the 'Photo Gallery'- but few of you read or sign the 'Guestbook. Most of you who do visit the photo gallery- do not use the Search Gallery Box. The search gallery is designed to help you locate pictures of alumni quickly. Type in the name of a classmate- if their picture is in the photo gallery- it should pop up for you. Go ahead- explore...and as always- if you have trouble navigating thru this site- just contact us.....that's right- it's another one of those buttons on the Toolbar.

1977 Grad, Wayne Smith recently forwarded us some pictures taken during the class of '77 twenty-five year reunion back in 2002. We have connected most of the names with faces. Below is the link to those pictures- enjoy. http://picasaweb.google.com/Joy.Wayne/BentleyClassOf197725thReunion

Livonia Named One of the Greenest Cities in the U.S.

Popular Science Magazine named Livonia one of the Fifty Greenest Cities in their March- 2008 issue. Ann Arbor was the only other city in Michigan recognized for this accomplishment. Since Green is the favorite color of the Bentley Bulldog- this makes perfect sense.

Fewer Bentley Reunions Every Year
Written by John King
Wednesday, 12 December 2007

Since Bentley closed in 1985- Ten Year Bulldog reunions were over during the 1990's. In 2005 the last Twenty Year reunion was held by the Bentley class of 1985. In 2006 this site posted information about a twenty year reunion for Churchill class of '86. Half their class spent three years as Bentley students before graduating from Churchill as Chardogs. They are like some type of strange cousin. We usually post info about upcoming Bentley reunions- but 2007 was a little unusual. We had no info to post. The Bentley Alumni site- www.bentleyalumni.com - has no contact info listed for the classes of '77, '67, or '57. The class of '82 should have held a twenty-five year reunion- but they had no contact information either. Nearly every class has some type of info posted except those who would have had reunions in 2007. Kinda weird. More than a year ago- I met up with a couple of alumni- one from '67 and another from '82. I was told the class of '67 did have a reunion during the summer. It was their lowest turn-out ever- less than 200 guests. A reunion company was in charge instead of the usual class committee. Ticket prices were $140.00 per person- plus a cash bar and it was held outside of Livonia. The '82 grad told me there was an attempt at a twenty-five year reunion out in Milford at Bakers during the summer. The reunion itself fell through- but grads were asked to meet out there as a group. About thirty alumni attended.

This is where the problem begins. Reunions cost more every year- and in some cases, interest fades. The committees put together by Sue (Johnson) Osinski and I, have tried to keep advance ticket prices at $100.00 per couple or less- and still include an open bar, live entertainment, food, at a Livonia location.

In 2015- Bentley High School in Livonia will have been closed for 30 years- and that may be our last opportunity to throw an All Bentley Bash! Any Takers?
